1.Who we are
ICSA, International Center for Strategic Alliances (ICSA) organises executive summits for banking, telecom, fintech and security leaders. ICSA decides how your information is used and is responsible for it. Mirembe Muse builds and operates this platform for ICSA.
Questions, requests or complaints: info@icsa.example.
2.What we collect
- When you apply: your name, email, contact number, job title, organisation, country, what you are looking to do (attend, speak, exhibit or sponsor), and any promo code or message you add.
- If you choose to tell us: dietary requirements and accessibility needs. These can reveal sensitive information (for example religion or health), so they are always optional, used only for catering and access at the summit, shared only with the venue team that needs them (never with sponsors or other delegates), and you can ask us to remove them at any time.
- Your consent choices: that you agreed to this notice (with the date and version), and whether you asked for news about future summits.
- Your summit activity: your registration status, badge code, the time you were checked in, sessions you save, and B2B meeting requests you make or receive.
- For speakers: the bio, photo and LinkedIn link you send us.
- Records the ICSA team keeps about working with you: notes of calls, emails and meetings, and, for sponsors, the sponsorship conversation.
- If ICSA already holds your details from an earlier summit or a business contact list, we may add them to the same record.
- Technical data needed to run the service: sign-in records, and short-lived counters that slow down repeated attempts (they use your email or network address and expire within minutes or hours).
3.How we use it, and why
- To handle your application and run the summit for you: reviewing your place, your badge and check-in, your agenda and the meetings you ask for. We rely on your agreement and on taking the steps you asked for.
- To keep one record of you across ICSA summits, so you do not have to start again each time and the team knows your history with ICSA. This is in ICSA’s legitimate interest in running repeat business events, and you can object at any time.
- To send news about future ICSA summits, only if you ticked the box for it. Every such email lets you unsubscribe.
- To keep the platform safe and working: preventing abuse, keeping a log of changes the ICSA team makes, and fixing problems.
4.Who can see it
- The public summit pages show confirmed speakers (name, title, organisation, and bio and photo if supplied) and sponsors. Delegates are never listed publicly.
- When you request a B2B meeting with a sponsor, the ICSA team arranges it and shares your name, title and organisation with that sponsor for the meeting.
- If you let a sponsor or exhibitor scan your badge at their stand, they receive your name, title and organisation (not your email or phone), with their own notes, to follow up with you. Only let them scan if you are happy for them to contact you.
- The ICSA team sees what their role needs: event managers see registrations and contact details, and the door team sees only names, organisations and badge codes for check-in.
- Anyone you give your personal badge link to can see your badge (name, title, organisation and QR code), so please keep it to yourself.
- We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
5.Services that help us run the platform
We use a small number of operators, each only for its part of the service and under its own data-protection terms:
- Vercel (United States) hosts the website.
- Supabase stores the database and sign-in, in the European Union (Ireland).
- Resend sends application, confirmation and sign-in emails.
- Upstash, if switched on, provides the short-lived counters that slow down repeated attempts.
6.Information sent outside South Africa
Our operators store and process information in the European Union and the United States. We only use operators bound to protect it to a standard at least equal to POPIA.
7.How long we keep it
We keep summit records for up to 3 years after the last summit you took part in, then delete or anonymise your personal details. Financial records are kept as long as the law requires.
If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we do so unless the law requires us to keep it.
8.Your rights
- Ask what we hold about you and get a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@icsa.example. We reply within 30 days.
- Withdraw your consent to summit news at any time, using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. This does not affect your place at a summit.
- If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za), or to the data-protection authority where you live.
10.Security
Access rules for every role are enforced by the database itself, so a mistake on a screen cannot reveal someone else’s record. Badge QR codes and badge links are signed and hold no personal details. Repeated sign-in attempts are slowed down, and every change the ICSA team makes is logged.
11.Changes to this notice
We post any changes here and update the date below. If a change matters for how we use your information, we will tell you by email. Version 2026-10-10.3, effective 10 October 2026.
